Weekend of Fun

Jennifer, Dennis and the kids all came over for the weekend. We all went to the rodeo Thursday night. That was hilarious!! Once the horses showed up Kolbie was glued. I think Kenyon's favorite part was the bulls at the end. Kamree liked the clowns, and thought they were crazy to hide in barrels with bulls pushing them all over. Friday night we went to Cedar for Matthew's football game. It was a nail biter!! They won the game 28 to 26. We went to the parade Saturday. It had about 100 entries, with almost half throwing candy. (the kids had a blast) then to the rodeo again that night and got rained on for about 15 minutes. (only in St. George ) But I have to say the best part was probably playing hopscotch with Kamree and Kenyon. We played out in the driveway for about an hour. Me and Jennifer learned a few new rules- and how to "CREATIVELY" jump through the squares. I really should have taped it.

Pine View Football

We just had homecoming week for Pine View High School two weeks ago. The cheer leaders came and decorated matthew's room for him. They also left this huge banner across our garage. Matthew wasn't home when all of this happened- but we made sure the house was all lit up when he came home from football practice. Oh, and by the way, they did win the homecoming game that Friday night. Matthew is in the right up about the team this week. This is what they had to say.......

Panther Spotlight
Panthers Of The Week
Senior linebacker and tight end, Matt Hughes, (6-1 195 lbs.) is the subject of this week's Panther Spotlight. Matt has distinguished himself this year by his amazing work ethic and unselfish play. He is not only a star on the Pine View special teams, but also helps the Panthers prepare for each weeks opponent by playing on the scout teams as well. Apart from his football duties, Matt is constantly working to help his coaches and teammates in any way he can. Whether it be getting water or ice for practice or setting up the film equipment, Matt can always be counted on to help.

He GOT His Call

Craig has been standing out by the mail box every day for two weeks to see if his letter was in the mail. (of course he leaves to go camping for the night with his dad, and it shows up) He invited a few people over to be here for his big reveal last night - and- he's going to serve in the Atlanta, Georgia mission. He will be leaving for the MTC on November 4 and is WAY excited to know where he's going.
